Program

Mandy Lund, spokesperson for Second Wind Foundation.

Mandy, a recent grad from CSU is a new employee of Second Wind and gave an excellent presentation.

She got involved because she was a student at Green Mountain HS when 4 students committed suicide in 2002.

Colorado is 6th highest in young suicides.

The mission is to provide counseling to at risk suicidal students that are not insured or under insured.

It is the only organization that treats for the problem, not just provide information. Treatment begins the first week after referral.

So far over 1200 students have been served, with 500 of them coming last year.

Marbles

Ken had his ticket drawn and after pocketing the $10, drew a clear marble. The $132.00 pot carries over as does the 1-89 odds.

The first fundraising event was organized by the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church and they raised $4000. She shared details about this year’s event and volunteer opportunities.
