Centennial Rotary General Meeting

On Tuesday, December 16, 2008

Custodian--Paul
Invocation--John
Pledge--Sandra

President Hank rang the bell very late--Members who arrived early spent about 20 minutes working together to glue the Roxy written Rotary message (say that 3 times quickly!) to the inside cover of the journals for Knapp Elementary. Those members therefore were late to the breakfast buffet and slow to arrive in our meeting room.

Visitors in attendance--Sherrie from Original Works--the journal producers. Cyndy, a realtor friend of Sandra’s.

Rotary Minute

Kent asked members to save General Mills "coupons/certificates" off their products for East Elementary in Littleton. Cereals, yogurts, etc have the little "coupons" printed on the boxes.

Announcements

Dr. Paul is having his hip "revised" this Friday at Porter’s Hospital.

Hank said that Treasurer Barb’s estimate of $500 raised from the Holiday party auction was a bit off. Our generous members raised $927.00 from that event!!!!!!!!!!! Please remember to continue bringing back "travel gifts," along with makeup’s when you leave the Denver area.

Happy Bucks

Many thank yous to Greg for the Holiday party planning and many Happy Holidays.

Program

We had a speaker no-show. Greg came up with a fantastic idea. We went around the room and everyone shared their favorite/most memorable holiday experiences. It was tremendous!!!

Marbles

Alas, our banker/seller of tickets was missing and no drawing was held.

Breaking News--$252.53 was raised from the "piggy banks" members turned in on Tuesday.
