Custodian-Paul/Jerry
Greeter--John M.
Invocation--Andres
Pledge--Jenn
Notetaker--Frank

Announcements

We had Seth from Wells Fargo back as a guest. Rumor has it that he has requested an app.

Rotary Minute

Given this week by Charlie, so it was a bit longer than a minute!!

Charlie discussed new aspects of the Foundation, Paul Harris Fellowships and the point system.

Save the Date--June 6th is the date for this year ’s District Assembly. Please plan on attending this informative training and support incoming President Mary Alice. This year ’s Assembly will be held at the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria Campus. It will be easy to get to via Light Rail.

Late-arriving Diane was asked to comment on the current status of her Membership committee. She said to expect a few new visitors in the upcoming weeks.

President Hank presented Jerry and Sandra with their blue badges, although both will need to attend a Board meeting soon. He thanked them both for their attendance at the past Fireside.

Mary Alice reminded all to mark their calendars for April 22nd. The State of our City event is that day and all members are required to make it a success. She also announced that Marc will chair the 2010 event.

Tom B is still under the weather and the Friday get-together is on temporary hold until further notice. Seems he got a flu shot, but caught another strain.

Hank is hosting a meeting at his house to do write ups for District Awards. All are welcome for the gig that starts at 7 p.m. tomorrow, 2/18.

Information about the District Conference in the Springs May 1-3rd.

Happy Bucks

  • Ben collected from the following:
  • Diane gave a bunch of money for the following reasons; sorry for being late, happy to be here, great to have a new app., Jenn looks beautiful for her age, sorry for missing the next several meetings.
  • Randy gave $2, one for it being Tuesday and the second for Greg, who has obviously learned something new at "sign language school."
  • Jerry for having their new son bang his head against his chest and saying. "hi Dada."
  • Andres for having to leave early and having Marc head up SOOC.
  • Ken for their daughter beating out over 300 other applicants for a new job and being present at Museum today at the Stimulus Bill signing.
  • Paul gave several, one scooting and one for Seth revisiting.
  • John for a great day standing atop Mt. Werner in Steamboat last week.
  • Greg seemed confused as he mentioned Andres reading the Invocation in spaneeesh accent and something about putting his hand on his left breast. (seems the Invocation was about the Pledge of Allegiance.)
  • Pete for seeing Seth again.
  • Hank for all the smiling faces so early in the morning. He did mention us all taking a lot of drugs the night before.

Program

Kent introduced our speaker, Hugh Curley.

Hugh spoke extensively about the 4 different types of people in the world; Leaders, Managers, Followers and Hermits.

His consulting company also helps others by sharing the 6 points to success.

We enjoyed his presentation.

Marbles

Sandra had her ticket number called. With the pot at $378.00 and the odds 1-70, she drew two clear!!
