Greeter--Charlie
Custodian--Paul
Invocation--Dan

President Hank rang the bell mightily at 7:30

Announcements

Kent introduced visiting Rotarians--John McCarty from E. CO. Springs (looking for a Club up here) and our speaker.

Rotary Minute--Kent shared details about how to become a Benefactor. Contact your attny, insurance agent or financial planner to make plans to help the Rotary Foundation.

Tom B. gave us an update on our water project in Cambodia and passed around photos he recently received. With just 6000.00, we were part of project that dug over 600 wells. Roxy will put photos on our website.

Traveling Gifts--Tom brought a very nice long sleeve shirt from Montana. He recently returned from his 45? high school reunion. Diane brought a cool ornament from the National Parks from Washington DC and Randy brought a coffee mug and shot glass from a Mexican restaurant he visited in Salt Lake. (Andres commented that the next time he goes to Mexico, he will visit a Mormon restaurant.)

October 7th--next week is the official visit from our District Governor. Hank implored us to have great attendance. Let us make it happen!! Protocol is to stand when he (Steve Cantrell) enters the room and please, no scooting. The board meeting is at Greg’s the evening before, 10/6.

October 11 is our food collection day for the Inter-Faith Community Services food bank. Four members signed up at this meeting. MANY MORE RAISED THEIR HANDS WHEN WE CHOSE THIS DATE. Please contact Randy and help us out with a shift that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barb told us about her weekend at the Rotary Leadership conference last weekend. She was very impressed.

A brief report on the health of Cathy was given. She had a blood clot in her arm last week and therefore won’t have chemo this week. She said she was doing better and again thanked the Club members for all their support and wonderful meals.

Hank reminded us about the Best of Centennial event coming up soon. Reservations can be made at Black Tie .com

Barb welcomed Katherine as she arrived at 7:45. The consensus was to give Ben a standing "O" when he walked in. That happened about 6 minutes later.

Happy Bucks

  • Bryan gave a buck for the KC win over Denver.
  • Hank did the same for the Bears win.
  • Tom gave cash and told us of his 45th reunion and visiting relatives in Helena.
  • Roxy gave thankful bucks for her Mom recovering from some health challenges.
  • Diane gave $5.00--gave the difference of winning vs. being given the game to Bryan, her advertising her business and that by wearing her Rotary pin, (and being very courteous) she got to ride in first class all the way to DC recently.
  • Andres gave a buck asking for good thoughts and prayers for his Father-in-law who was diagnosed with liver cancer.
  • Randy because it is Tuesday and Rotary.
  • Paul gave $3, one welcoming visiting Rotarian John, congratulations to Bryan and for scooting.
  • Pete gave a buck for Paul?
  • Dan for his clients on the Chiefs and a wonderful time in England playing cricket.
  • Frank for Paul responding as a true Rotarian, giving him advise on his daughter’s sore mouth and the next day’s wisdom tooth removal.

Program

Rotarian Charles Holland from the Golden Club gave an interesting talk about his business, Focal Point Coaching. He shared with us that he is very successful and gave us several tips to make us better people.

Those that missed last week’s meeting missed the finest Classification talk this editor has seen in over 19 years of Rotary. Andres really did a wonderful, caring job. Well Done Andres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marbles

Pete has his ticket drawn and pulled two clear ones. The $34 pot carries over.
